Try Pronunciator!
The Basics:

  • What’s Offered: Lessons for 315 languages, including regional and country specific variations | 147 “home” languages to start from | Audio and video components for enhanced learning
  • Plus!: Create customized courses based on your interests or occupation | Coaching and comparison via microphone and video access | Options for children ages 3 and up
Try it out!

American Sign Language: Using either Instant access or an account, click on the drop-down menu under “I want to learn.” Select American Sign near the top left of the screen that pops up. Click on Main Course > Language Learning Levels > Powerful Phrases. Play the videos to learn terms. At the bottom of the videos, there are options to slow it down, mutethe speaker, and the camera icon will let you view the sign from a different angle. Video Comparison will let you see how close you are to the instructor.

Language Lagniappe: Go back to the “I want to learn” screen and select French. Click on Main Course > Language Learning Levels and then scroll down. There are additional media offerings in French, including movies (ProFlix), music (ProTunes), and poetry!

Workplace Connections: When signed in with an account, go to “I want to learn” and select Korean. Click on Personalized Courses > Create. Click on the large button to select your occupation. Choose your job from the list -- or scroll down to Teacher if you just want to try it out. Customize the course further by selecting your skill level, age, and weeks you want to study. You even get to select how many new phrases you want to learn each day, if you want more drills or quizzes, and what your learning priorities are!
