Ready for some Outdoor Fun?
Check out a Louisiana State Park Pass from your Library!
Louisiana is blessed with an abundance of natural beauty and fascinating history. You can now explore all of that for free.
All you need is your library card!
Discover the beauty and history of Louisiana by checking out a state park pass and a backpack to use when exploring Louisiana.
The pass allows one vehicle (regardless of the number of occupants) to get in free to one Louisiana State Park or historical site!

Due to the limited number of passes, only adults can check out a pass once every six months.

In addition to the free passes, be sure to check out a
Geaux Explore Backpack to take along on your trip!
Each backpack contains:
  • Set of binoculars
  • Compass
  • Magnifying glass
  • Leave No Trace outdoor ethics cards
  • Louisiana Bird Guide
  • Louisiana Wildlife Guide
  • Louisiana Trees and Wildflower Guide
Check Out a Geaux Explore Backpack
Please note: The Geaux Explore Backpack is not included with the State Park Pass and must be checked out separately.  Additionally, you can check out the backpack without checking out a Park Pass.
